[ Not that he expects they will be able to affect him in any real way they couldn't catch him back home, what can they possibly do without their resources and special not-so-Loki-proof cell? but it bears notifying someone who knows how shitty things have gotten with certain organisations in the past (and Kate's enough of a busybody to want to know everything anyway): ]
SHIELD are here. Agent Coulson is on the network.

Hey, this is Gwen. The um - not the - [ wait, does she know about spider-woman? shiz. ] I mean it's Gwen Stacy.
[ smooth. ]
I just wanted to talk to you a little about how you - I guess became a superhero with no powers. I find it really inspiring. Hope that's not too weird. Anyway, talk soon.

[ Christmas morning there is a brown-wrapped, plain package tied with a green bow on Kate's bed. The tag reads PURPLE!! :-0 --LOKI XOXO and inside is a fitting gift.
Giving presents out for a monotheistic holiday seems like the thing to do when no one expects it of him, and so. ]

[ As soon as Clint gets back to Eudio City, he heads to his apartment and flicks through his phone looking for Kate's number.
(He would have done it on the bus but having emotional conversations on buses are not his thing.)
He lets the phone ring until it gets to her voicemail.
Ringringring.
Nothing. ]

[ After a few rings, Peter leaves a quick voicemail. ]
Hey, Kate. So - uh. It occurs to me that, you know, we never actually did do the whole 'hanging out' thing.
In-costume doesn't count.
I was wondering if you wanted to - uh. Rectify that? No pressure, obviously. I was just, you know, wondering.
Anyway, call me back.
[ Pause. ]
Oh - yeah. This is Peter by the way.

[ The beach is just about as nice as a beach can get, and Scott's seen beaches. He lives on the west coast, in sunny California; before his time in prison, beaches were totally a thing.
The sun is bright and the sand is warm, and the water is incredibly crystalline blue. It's paradise. It's also strangely empty.
But after a long, jovial conversation with his fellow transportation-mate, Scott kind of likes the privacy. They've decided to take some drinks and more than a few mozzarella sticks down to the waterside while having an in depth conversation about the differences between east coast and west coast living.
At some point, they wind up down by the water's edge where the waves crest into clear white foam at their feet. He finishes off his fruity cocktail and sets the glass down in the sand beside him, sitting beside the chatty, dark-haired girl who isn't like anyone he's ever met back home. She's nothing like Maggie or Hope, that's for sure, and maybe that's a good thing. ]
So - [ he says, continuing some of their earlier conversation. ] - Kate. You ever think about sticking around the west coast sometimes? Or going back to it?

[ so it's been a few days since Gwen lost her powers and Kate gained hers ( though she refuses to think they just switched, that'd be too weird. like, maybe, but- no. anyway. she doesn't have powers, and Kate does, and of course her friend was freaked out by it, but with her and Peter there, it's not like she had to figure it out alone. and after a couple days, she even stopped waking up with webbing everywhere, so that's great. it's why Gwen thinks it's totally fine to not-really-sneak into Kate's room when she gets home really late one night, pleased to find her friend already asleep, and strips down to her undies to crawl into bed with her. her intentions aren't actually all that scandalous!! she just spoons up behind her and gets comfortable, because she can. because spider powers are awesome and thrilling, but she knows the last couple of days have been kind of nuts, so it's nice to offer her something that ( somehow ) has become something of a norm for them. sometimes.
she likes being Kate's big spoon what's wrong with that. ]

[ Having sex in the woods is easy. Knowing what to do after isn't. Derek is very non-complicated, but only because he's romantically stupid. He quotes novels and does surprise visits on women. His game is a little minimal. ]
Was I supposed to make contact after or did you want me to fade out?
