WHAT ARE YOUR CHARACTER'S STRENGTHS?:
Kate has always had a grand sense of determination. It's the sort of thing that helps her keep focused even in excessively dire situations, managing to keep a level head even when presented with situations that could easily be quite challenging for her to overcome. When joining the Young Avengers, despite her age and regular human status, she puts all work into keeping up with her fellow teammates composed of those with magic or those genetically modified in some form. Her stubbornness also presents itself as a strength in many scenarios in that it keeps her from following the advice of those who doubt her abilities, telling her to quit being a superhero. She doesn't defer from trying to save others even when the chances of success are low, working the best with whatever she has access to in order to make the most of every situation.
WHAT ARE YOUR CHARACTER'S WEAKNESSES?:
Kate's strengths can, oddly enough, become her own weakness at times. Having too much confidence has often times gotten her into situations of trouble. Even at a young age, she always felt that she could handle situations very well on her own, which in turn causes her to get kidnapped by men looking to get money out of her father, managing well by herself until she needs rescuing from the Avengers. Clint Barton has also accused Kate of getting too emotionally attached, where she finds herself having difficulty separating emotions from getting the best of her when presented with sensitive situations that require sensible logic. Because of this, if people she cares about are in trouble, she will often rush in for a rescue without coming up with a reasonable plan or considering the circumstances. Also, coming from a rich background, Kate can sometimes come off as being quite spoiled, having a natural mindset that "if she wants it, she can get it".
WHAT EVENTS OR CIRCUMSTANCES IN YOUR CHARACTER'S PAST HAVE IMPACTED THEM THE MOST?:
There are two significant events that truly drew the course of shaping Kate to who she is. To start, at a very young age, Kate had looked up to her father, a successful business man whom she truly believed to be her own hero. This drastically changed the night she caught her father beating up a man over a conflict of money, soon realizing that he was working in line with low-level villains. Not only did this forever change the way she viewed her father, but when getting chased by men who hoped to use her to get ransom money out of her, she was rescued by the original Hawkeye, Clint Barton himself. While other Avengers had come to the scene - Captain America, Iron Man, Thor - it was seeing Hawkeye, a regular human like herself, using a simple bow and arrow to fight that inspired her. Disappointed by the crimes committed by her father and finding dedication towards an archer's abilities, Kate's ambitions to become stronger began there.
( cw: sexual assault ) However, Kate was still quite young and naive, believing herself to be invincible. Years later, walking late one night through the darkness of Central Park, she found herself caught from behind by a strange man. The rape had left her feeling vulnerable and helpless in that moment, realizing that it doesn't matter how good a person is, bad things can always happen. However, instead of letting it tear away at her, she instead used that incident as fuel for her strength. She began to take self-defense classes, pushing herself to become stronger physically and emotionally, in order to become a person that could protect incidents like that from happening to someone else.
WHAT MOTIVATES YOUR CHARACTER?:
After facing the incident of assault, Kate's primary motivation became to simply protect others, especially those weaker and much more vulnerable than herself. Despite being an ordinary human amongst her teammates with special abilities, Kate feels that the drive to push one's self towards being brave and looking out for others is what truly qualifies in being a hero. When her team of the Young Avengers temporarily disbands, she goes behind their back to continue fighting against street crime with Clint Barton, unable to keep herself from trying to continue doing good in the world.
WHAT IMPRESSION DO OTHERS TEND TO HAVE OF YOUR CHARACTER?:
Many tend to see Kate at being fairly naive. For her age, she's very much inexperienced in comparison to most other superheroes, so people tend to view this as a reason to not believe Kate to be so reliable. Because of her rich background, Kate's drive to being a superhero isn't typically taken seriously, for the fact that most few it as just a bored wealthy girl looking to have fun. Her tendency to be full of energy and optimistic when talking to others also adds the idea that she's childish and more a nuance than someone that could actually be helpful.
IN WHAT WAYS DOES THAT IMPRESSION DIFFER FROM WHO YOUR CHARACTER REALLY IS?:
Despite having been rich, Kate never actually thrived in the lifestyle (aside from how the wealth had naturally spoiled her in certain areas). She often argued with her sister about how she preferred to donate money to charity and that the money their family spent could easily be used to feed those in third world countries suffering from hunger. Her motivation towards being a hero comes little from wanting to "have fun" and more from dreadful personal experiences of assault; however, because she's never told anyone aside from her therapist and Jessica Jones, no one seems to understand the reason for Kate's drive, though she doesn't worry much to correct them aside from simply insisting that she wants to help others.
HOW DOES YOUR CHARACTER HANDLE CRISIS OR ADVERSITY?:
Kate tends to face situations with a level head, not really moving into a panic even when things seem at their most conflicted. Mostly, she jumps in headfirst, having exceedingly high confidence in herself in being able to take on crisis, no matter what the actual extent of her qualifications for doing so are. Though she relies more heavily on her emotions, she does still try to look at things with a bit of logic, which allows for a bit of a balance between the two at times. However, in the face of someone being in danger, Kate usually puts that as the highest priority, making sure her actions reflect on their safety.
WHICH 5 THINGS WILL YOUR CHARACTER REMEMBER UPON ARRIVAL, AND WHY DID YOU CHOOSE THEM?:
Kate tends to have a lot of investigative instincts that can sometimes get her in trouble. While she'll be initially less motivated to look into suspicious activity, she does have a supreme sense of curiosity for situations where she can play hero. She also has history of being a pain towards anyone in law enforcement, always trying to make her contributions. See the following exhibits: A, B, C, D, E.
SKILLS, ABILITIES, & PHYSICAL WEAKNESSES:
Kate is a baseline human, which means she has no special supernatural abilities which makes her easily vulnerable in any high level of attack against her. She's also generally accident prone on account of jumping recklessly into fights, which often results in a number of bandages on her person at almost any given time. Even so, she does have a fair amount of skills demonstrated in a fight:

WHICH 5 THINGS WILL YOUR CHARACTER REMEMBER UPON ARRIVAL, AND WHY DID YOU CHOOSE THEM?:
01. She is capable of fighting and self-defense, with talented experience in using a bow and arrow. Because not being able to fight back had once put her in such a state of vulnerability, it's especially important that she remembers how well she can defend herself if ever in the face of assault.IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE YOU FEEL WE NEED TO KNOW ABOUT YOUR CHARACTER?:
02. She is the daughter of a wealthy businessman who works with low-level villains. This will give her reason for being in Pines; wanting to separate herself from her father and try to gain her own independence.
03. She's aware of the existence of superheroes, all which can have special abilities. She'd been surrounded by this knowledge all her life that it's essentially shaped the confidence of her character in the face of supernatural elements.
04. Hawkeye is a founding Avenger who inspired her to take up archery. While she won't immediately remember that she is Hawkeye as well, it's a name that is far too important to her to completely forget.
05. All the lyrics to old 70s and 80s hits, especially Bruce Springsteen. You never forget Springsteen.

She's also generally accident prone on account of jumping recklessly into fights, which often results in a number of bandages on her person at almost any given time. Even so, she does have a fair amount of skills demonstrated in a fight:
➸ ARCHERY: Kate's skills with a bow and arrow are quite advanced for her youth. She took up studying the weapon at a young age after witnessing Clint Barton's expertise in taking on a gang of mobsters with it. Later on, the World's Greatest Marksman himself took upon training Kate further. Kate is capable of shooting up to five arrows at once, and while she has before insisted on the impossibility of the "Robin Hood" shot (shooting an arrow straight through another arrow), she has been shown to pull off the feat herself.INVENTORY:
👊 MARTIAL ARTS: Feeling helpless after a sexual assault experience, Kate immediately took up studying martial arts to provide herself with self-defense. This ranges from different techniques such as boxing and jiu jitsu, making her plenty experienced in a variety of forms of unarmed combat.
✂ SWORDSMANSHIP: In addition to her martial arts lessons, Kate also took up fencing and the practice of swords, and proved to be very skilled at it, even surpassing her instructors.
🔍 PRIVATE INVESTIGATING: Kate's, uh, super great at detective work. No, really.
